Meet Marissa Vallejo

"This role fulfilled my dream to do work in advertising and improved my skills in digital and graphic design. Looking back on how I started my career with Tiba, I am grateful to Nuhad."

I was born and raised in the Philippines as the middle child of a family of five.  Naturally extroverted and affable.  I easily formed friendships with my peers.  Throughout my childhood, my mother primarily cared for us due to my father’s overseas work commitments, fostering my independence.

Throughout my primary and secondary education, I maintained academic excellence while cultivating my artistic talents through singing and dancing and participating in various extracurricular activities including school choir and dance troupes.

After college, I entered matrimony and welcomed a healthy baby boy into my life.  Sadly, my marriage was brief, spanning only seven years.  Through perseverance and hard work as a single parent, I successfully reared my son,  Miguel now 27, who developed into a responsible, independent, and accomplished individual.

Back in college, all I wanted was to pursue a career that would focus on my creativity. I wanted to do advertising but for some reason, I always landed a sales job which eventually I find fascinating.

I met Nuhad 15 years ago during my search for a new career opportunity. She hired me and this led to my current role of Marketing & Promotions Manager in Tiba. Part of my role here includes campaign management where I design and implement marketing campaigns across various channels including digital, print, and social media.

I also collaborate with other members of our team to ensure alignment of support for marketing initiatives. This role fulfilled my dream to do work in advertising and improved my skills in digital and graphic design. Looking back on how I started my career with Tiba, I am grateful to Nuhad. Being from out of the country, she supported me during my adjustment period. I met a lot of people from different nations which not only enhanced my cross-cultural collaboration skills but also my stakeholder management.
